Accounts
To be able to attend any type of activity at our Studio, you are required to create an account with us and agree to our policies, liability waiver and T&Cs. You can find these below, and on the booking form when booking your services.
Studio Etiquette
Please come appropriately dressed for the service (ie comfy flexible clothing for yoga)
Mobile phone must be switched off or on silent mode.
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early for class.
Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are provided at the studio, but feel free to bing your own if you wish.
YOGA
Yoga classes
Please book online in advance of attending the studio, so we know to expect you, and to avoid disappointment if classes are fully booked. Classes are bookable via the "CLASS TIMETABLE" on the website
Classes are only payable online when booking, so to avoid any delays prior to class starting.
From time to time, the studio may need to cancel a class if there are no bookings
Booking in advance online also means we can contact you in the event that a class may need to be cancelled at short notice should there be staff sickness or similar. Class bookings are payable online prior to the class.
Classes pre-booked online will automatically be deducted from any passes or memberships available to use on your account.
If you chose to pay as you go, you can purchase an individual pass called a “drop in” to book your class. You can pay with any debit or credit card online..
You may cancel any class booking and receive an account credit for any pass or membership type if you cancel your booking within the cancelation policy time frame (as stated online when booking). For yoga classes, this is 24 hours notice before the class start time, after which time you will not be able to cancel. Those on passes will simply lose that pass, those on monthly memberships may be charged a set cancelation fee of £6 for any late cancels or no shows. (Please refer to each service policy when booking, as this may differ from one service to another).
Private Group bookings
Private group bookings are individually priced based upon the unique event itself.
Our cancellation policy for these bookings is 3 days notice before the event is due to start if based in our studio, and 7 days notice before the events start time if at your home. If you cancel within the policy time frame you can get a refund, or receive an account credit for the value of the booking to use against a future booking. Any cancellations within this period will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Please contact the studio ahead of any event for any questions, it will very much depend on the nature of the event as to whether we are able to reschedule or cancel your booking within the timeframe.
1-1 Sessions
Private sessions must be booked in advance.
Private classes must be paid for in full in advance online. You may cancel and rearrange your booking up to 48 hours before the booking is set to take place. Any cancellation after 48 hours will not be transferred and will not be refunded. Please contact Lizzie directly for any changes. When booking a session online, you much contact the studio as soon as possible to arrange a 15 minute free consultation, in order for us to plan our session effectively. If you do not contact us within this time, you will not receive the benefits of a 1-1 session.
Monthly Memberships (Auto Pays)
Monthly Memberships are rolling contracts where the agreed amount will be deducted from your nominated payment card each month.
The membership renews every month on the purchase date and runs for 12 months. After 12 months it will auto renew, unless you have asked us to cancel this for you.
There is a minimum of 3 months commitment, after 3 months you can cancel your membership with 1 month notice. Notice must be given to the studio - hertswellnessstudio@gmail.com
Please note, if you book classes and do not cancel within the cancelation period, or fail to turn up to your booked class, you will be charged an additional fee of £6 for this.
A late cancellation is any cancellation that is made after 24 hours before the class scheduled start time.
Other member perks will be offered to those on Monthly Membership throughout the year, this will include things like workshop and massage services discounts, early access to events and much more.
MASSAGE
Massage appointments are bookable online via the website, and payable in advance when booking, or in person. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48hours prior to your appointment time. If for any reason, we need to reschedule your appointment, Lizzie will contact you directly ahead of time. Please arrive 5 minutes before the appointment start time.
PARENT & BABY
- All Parent & baby classes are bookable and payable online. Please refer to each individual service for more information about the booking policy.
- Prams - where possible, to save space, please leave prams in the car/at home. If you have a pram, you can come through to the studio, and leave the pram in our private outdoor patio we have located at the back of the studio. (cover will be provided on rainy days)
- If your baby sleeps during class, you are still experiencing the session, and classes cannot be rearranged or credited.
- Mats, and oils will be provided. Please bring with you a small towel.
- At the beginning of your course, you will be given a small bottle of baby massage oil. This is for the duration of your course, so please bring this with your each week. If you forget or misplaced your bottle, or have used up all the oil provided, you can purchase another bottle for £2.
- Filming and photos of your child/children during class is permitted, however you must not take any photographs or videos of any other person in a Session without their express permission.
H&S
- You are responsible for your own personal and physical health & will only attend classes if you are deemed physically capable or have been given the OK by your GP. You will find this in the declaration when completing the booking form for your service.
- We are equipped to wipe down, clean, wash and sanitise relevant equipment between sessions.
- All mats and props are checked for quality and cleanliness and washed and replaced regularly.
- If attending classes with your baby, please ensure that your child does not place any blankets, props or other equipment or items used during a Session in their mouth.
- If you or your child has any allergy, intolerance or sensitivity of any kind that has the potential to affect the health of any person, you must inform the studio during the booking process, and reiterate the same on arrival at the Session. We will not be aware of any such considerations unless you clearly communicate these.
Refunds
All bundles and packages are non refundable and non transferable.
Unless under very special and rare circumstances, The Hertfordshire Wellness Studio do not offer refunds.
We can not prorate or extended passes beyond their expiry dates, unless under rare and special circumstances, in which case, we would need you to communicate this with us via email, we will do our best to accommodate where deemed appropriate and fair.
For drop in's, we are able to reschedule your appointments or classes if made within the policy time frame.
In the event that the studio cancels a booking for any class, workshop or event, you will be offered the option for a refund or account credit.
All cancellations should be made online via your account, in the event that you are unable to do this, you can email hertswellnessstudio@gmail.com to cancel your space.
Late Comers
You must arrive at least 5 minutes before your booking to ensure you are able to sign in and settle in the studio ready for the class/appointment start time.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to any late comers to classes.
If you are more than 5 minutes late to any booking you will not be granted entry to the session.
It is vital where possible you inform Lizzie if you feel you may be a few minutes late.
Unless stated specifically otherwise all classes, workshops and events will be held at 135a London Road, Knebworth, SG3 6EX
To gain access to the building, please press the buzzer, and you will be let in the building. Late arrival to class may mean we are not able to buzz you in.
Parking
There is a car park at the back of the coop (St Martin's Road car park - pay and display).
There is free parking at the recreation ground (off Watton Rd)
Alternatively, there is free parking for 1 hour on the high street, and 2 hours free parking on surrounding streets - Pondcroft Road, Milestone Road.
Privacy Policy
At THWS we take your privacy very seriously. We will never sell, exchange or share your personal information with any other person, company or organisation other than those we use for our business, eg MindBody. You have the option to to opt-out of further mailing lists. But we advise you to keep the box checked for account and schedule management so you do not miss vital information or lose the ability to access your account.
To register for online booking we do require your name and e-mail address. If you are attending pregnancy yoga or Parent & baby classes, we may also ask for specific information about your physical wellbeing, due date, or birth history. We may need to ask you this information so that we can best serve you with our offerings. You have the right to remove any of this information at any time should you wish to do so.
When booking a service, please thoroughly read and complete the booking form and complete to the best of your knowledge.
There is an option on these forms to grant us consent to take photos/videos of classes you may attend. Permission will always be asked in person as well, and consent may be withdrawn at any time.
